SEVERN STREET GARDENS.

ORNAMENTAL GATES. The Mavor (Dr K. MiAdam) convenor of the Garden Gates Committee, submitted a report at last night's meeting of the Borougli Council, showing that the sum so far collected towards the erection of ornamental gates for the entrance to Severn Street Gardens amounted to £SB 10s. As a considerable amount is still required, the Committee recommended — 1. That an entertainment or fete he held in the Gardens to increase the amount and to provide extra seats in the Gardens. 2. That donations still he received. 3. That the work of the gates be proceeded with. These recommendations were adopted.
