BRIBING THE JUDGES.

MR JAMES ALLEN'S CHARGE. (Per Pkess Association ') Auckland, May 16. In his speech at St. James' Hall last night, Mr Jas. Allen reiterated the allegations that the Courts of Justice ■were improperly interfered with. He said a Judge anight perhaps unconsciously be influenced by a Government voting money in the form of an appropriation in payment for his services to a community and commissions. He instanced the fact that the Chief Justice was a member of the Statutes Compilation Committee which cost the Dominion £5626, and a member of the Native Lands Commission which cost £9842.
