TRAIN COLLISION.

A collision occurred between a passenger and a coal train at Rhondda Valley! ;\Wales. The carriages were telescofied,' entrapping tlie: passengers. Four bodies have already been recovered.

The collision took place near Pontypridd) .where a train with 300 passengers a ; coal ..train. >:'. Several carriages; h. were - wrecked/ and.-, the van was hurled on top of the telescoped carriages. The driver and fireman of the passenger train were thrown into an embankment and escaped unhurt. Councillors "Tom" George, "Tom" Harris, and~W. Morgan, members of the Miners' Executive, who were proceeding to attend a meeting at Cardiff, and the Rev. W. Powell, Methodist ministed, are killed. Ghastly scenes were witnessed by the rescue parties. -.

Received January 24, at 8.20 a.m. London, January 23. The .bodies, of eight men. and three children have been recovered. Theyinclude three members of the South Wales Miners' Executive.
