The. Rev. W. J. Williams will conduct both services at the Wesley Church to-morrow, his subjects being "In Remembrance of Me" and £l What the Age
Expects of its Young Men" (a, special address to young men). After the morning address a Communion service will be lield. In the afternoon Mr J. Martyn "will preach at Balruddery, and in the evening at Kakanui and Eniield the respective preachers will he Mr Stanley Cross and Mr J. C. Yorke. At the Baptist Church to-morrow evenjng the Rev. P. G. Buckingham "will speak on the topic "The Sympathy of the Human and tlio Power of the Divine." Mr J. I?. Thomson, F.L.S., will deliver a lecture in the Dni'.ds' Hall tomorrow evening, entitled "Lilc After Death." Excursion tickets from any station to any station on the South Island railways will be issued from December IGtli : to January. 3rd, and will be available for return'to February 1-lth. Mr'T. H. Matliieson will preach at the Church of Christ t.o-utorrow evening, when the subject will be "Confessing Christ." ~ , A large number of people assembled in the hardware department of the North Otago Farmers' Co-operation As- i sociation this afternoon to witness a demonstration of cooking \on the new Perfection Oil Cook Stove. Mrs Young acted as chef/ and in a businesslike manner manufactured tasty pastry; I cakes, and other delicacies, at the'same i time demonstrating the improvements connected .with the stove. The delectables were afterwards handed around with the over-refreshnm; cup of tea, and one and all expressed themselves as satisfied --that for such purposes the cooker' does its part- well. The demonstration, will be repeated on Monday froin v 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.', a cordial invitation being extended .to all to be present. It's at Basil Emslie's (near Farmers' 00-op.) that you get every attention : where you get a proper haircut, and where you get the undoubted benefits of a complete disinfectant plant.
