The Rev. J.. Perkin» returned from Christchurch oil Monday much improved in health through his rest and change: He intends resuming work in his parish on Sunday-next at the places advertised in this issue. Excursion' fares will be issued to Timaru from Oamaru and intermediate stations, including the Kurow branch, on Tuesday and \Vednesday next, also by the early morning train on Thursday. The return journey can be made up to Wednesday, 2nd November. A slight alteration in the Oamaru-Timaru service is made on Thursday next. Our advertising columns contain particulars in regard thereto. Entries for the Waimate A. and P. Show, to be held on November 3rd, close to-morrow at 8 p.m., with Mr A. J. Hosiins, Waimate. ' Many people have refrained from buying motor cars in the past for two reasons, viz. :■ The high cost of a reliable car and the fear of being unable to drive one. These hindrances have now beeii entirely removed by tho advent of tho wonderful "Overland" Cars, as tho 1911 models are built on the very latest lines at about half the cost of the best British cars, and are so simple to handle that a person may learn to drive in a few minutes.
