THE RIVER DARLING MYSTERY.

In connection with the River Darling mystery, the Russian for whom tho police are searching is supposed to be a servant of the murdered man. It is stated that while in. Sydney the latter spent money lavishly, but seemed desirous of getting away from tho city. He did not show himself much in the public streets. The police are hopeful of soon getting on the tracks of Scnkovitch, whose description has been telegraphed in all directions. Sydney, September 27. The tomahawk wherewith it is believed the murder was committed and a quantity of deceased's belongings have been found in the Darling River near the scene of the tragedy. The murderer has been traced to Sydney.
