In the Industrial Court the Colliery Employees' Federation applied for the dissolution of the Northern Collieries "Wages Board, with the object of removing Mr Paterson, the employees' representative. The grounds of the application are alleged incompetency and misconduct, and-that the award is likelv to be one-sided. The action is the culmination of many requests, verba] and written, iV Mr Paterson's resignation, all of which were refused. After hearing the application Judge Heyden adjourned the Court, saying probably ho would not want to hear the other side.
