NOTES.

Since the last monthly report of the Harbormaster, 18 steamships, with an aggregate tonnage of 18,340 tons, have arrived at and departed from the port of Oamaru. Inward cargo amounted to 1580 tons oewt, and outward to 3190 tons, making a total of 4770 tons scwt of cargo handled. The Ripple arrived at Oamaru at midnight last night from Dunedin. She landed 12,000 feet of Oregon timber, shipped SO tons of produce, and sailed at 4 o'clock this morning for Wanganui. via wav ports. The Storm left the Bluff at 9 o'clock last- night for Oamaru, and is due here about o o'clock this evening. About 60 tons of produce for Wellington and Wanganui await shipment by the Storm. The Breeze is due at Oamaru on Saturday to load for Napier and Gisborae.
