Mr Fisher, referring to Mr As'quith's statement regarding preferential trade. adopted a non-committal attitude. He said the present flexibility of the relations of the Dominions with Great Britain on this question was the host safeguard for the integrity of the Empire. The Dominions should be left free to make their own tariff arrangements.
