Dr- Forbes Winslow publishes letters in support of'his theory that "Jack the Ripper" was a native of Melbourne, edupated ! at Scotch College there, aiid that-he returned to Murriimbidgee, or Melbourne, after the murders in 1889, and is now in South Africa.

Received July 23, at 9:30"a.m. ■; ; -London; 'July 22.': A Melbourne lady writes to Mr Wirislow:. "Your tracking of 'Jack the Ripper' frightened him from returning to Melbourne, and he worked his way to the, Murrumbidgee before starting for England He gained his surgical knowledge from a medical friend. His wife died from' natural causes. 'The ripper' confessed his London atrocities to the writer, who reported the matter to Scotland Yard authorities, but they disregarded the information thus given. 'The ripper' often attended St. Paul's in Melbourne."
