HARBOR BOARD ELECTIONS.

By Telegraph. (Special to Oamaru Mail.) Wellington, July 11. The provision in tho Harbors Act Amendment Bill for an election on the same day as the local election is garded as a distinct reform and a step further towards the time when all such elections will bo oil one day with a compulsory half-holiday. With the passage of the Bill both harbor boards and hospital boards elections will be held on the same day as the local election.
