ILL-PAID MINISTERS.

(Per Press Association.) ; ) Christchurch, Julv 12. j The Christchurcli Presbytery this! morning adopted an overture to the; General Assembly urging an increase in : the minimum stipends paid to ministers. It was stated that the minimum north of the Waitaki River was £175 per annum, but ministers had to find.tlieir own horse and trap and with the increase in the cost of living many ministors were sorely troubled over material affairs. It was suggested that the minimum salary be £2OO with a manse.
