SERIES OF THEFTS.
(Per Press Association.) Ghristchurch, July 6. Daisy Olive Moon appeared iii the Magistrate's Court to-day to answer charges arising out of a remarkable series of thefts from houses in St. Albans.
There were 17 charges in all—three of breaking, entering and theft; four of theft, and ten of theft from dwellinghouses. The articles stolen ineluded two gold bangles, a feather ruffle, a lace collar, a gold ring, a dianiond ring, two trinket boxes, a silverbacked mirror, gold and platinum bangle, gold chain, two tikis, a pair of opera glasses, two coats, two hats, four smal bags, two pairs of shoes, two pairs of gloves, a pair of stockings, powder boxes, scissors, hot water bottles, a purse, a silver watch, various items of apparel, and 34s 6d in money. Accused pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence.
