Mr Haddeii vDennison has been appointed local agent for one of the largest estate agencies in Queensland, and can submit particulars of farming properties of any size. The Committee who have completed the preliminary arrangements for the Grand Military Ball, which takes place at the Volunteer Hall on Thursday, September 30th, have every reason to expect a big success. The double ticket has been fixed at os., and the price of admission to the gallery to view- tho Grand March from S to 10.30 is Is. Onlookers will be provided with light refreshments. Messrs Hunter, Brown, and Poole will supply the music for the dances, and at Friday night's meeting it was agreed to ask the Garrison Band to play the Grand March. Early application' for' tickets is desirable, as, large as tho floor is, the Committee will not permit overcrowding. Tickets may be obtained from any member of tho Committee, also from the secretaries, Lieut. M'Kenzie J and Corp. Mahan' The first "linrd-up" mask'ball ever held in Kurow will be held by the Hockey Club on September 9th.'. All efforts are being put forward to make it .1 success. Music is to be supplied by Messrs Sliermin and Wisnesky. It will be the end of August to-mor-row.
