After the supper had been served. Mr Livingstone expressed the gratitude of himself and co-trustees for the generosity of the response that had been given at this the first fancy dress ball held in the- "Windsor Hall. He also wished to express a sense of deep obligation to Mr Hoyce for his great kindness in supplying gratuitously the music for the ball. and. finally he heartily thanked the ladies who supplied the refreshments. He announced that in recognition of this liberal response he proposed to give a ball at his sole expense on the 24th September to which he exteii'ie:! ntcst cordial invitations to all pre-ent and their friends. Hearty ch-'ers were given for Mr Livingstone for this large-hearted offer, and a general determination expressed to take the fullest advantage of his hospitality.
