TENNIS.
MEADOW RANK v. NORTH EAST VALLEY. Talcing advantage of the .holiday afforded- by the anniversary of tho province, a team of tennis players came up from the North East Valley Club yesterday for a game with the Meadowbank Club. The weather was ideal for the purpose, the visitors good sports, so that the match was thoroughly enjoyable. Tile Dunedin players, mainly through tho strength/of their men. won with a margin of 13 points. Miss Miller played a good match with the visiting first lady, a. long game resulting in a good win for the local player (6 —2). Jj-egg was the only Meadowbank. man who won a game, and tho visitors won both the doubles.. The scores were:
