Received January 10, at 4.30 p.m. London, January 9. The Mansion House Fund is now £BO,OOO. ■Mr W. P. Reeves and Mr Coghlan received the Italian Government's warmest thanks for their generous donations. Rome, January 9. The Chamber cheered Signor Giolitti's statement that Messina and Reggio would be rebuilt, and granted a million and aquarter sterling from the Budget surplus to provide for urgent needs and to reconstruct public buildings. The Chamber imposed a surtax on certain sources of Tevenue for two years.
