RAIN-MAKING.
To the Editor. Sir,—l was pleased to note the letters- in your paper on the above matter, and hope that there will now be a movement startedl to'give it a trial. Rain-making is not altogether.new, and' in a climate likeouxs, with so much moisture 'hanging about, there should be every chance of our experiments being a success. This is the feeling of nine out of every ten persons in the district at present, but we want someone to take. the initiative. Surely this is a question for the A. and P. Association to take up, as farmers are the people most- directly affected-. I enclose £1 for your fundi and hope that • everyone interested will subscribe at once so as'to make-the movement- a success. I am, etc., .:.:'.-. ':.'.. . . URGENT. TOut correspondent has enclosed £l, and we.shall be glad to received further contribution's to the fund. In order to secpe an' organised effort we communicated with the Chairman-of the County Council, .who readily undertook to bring the matter before that body.—Ed. O.M.] To the Editor.
