The auctioneers selling at the above yards—the National Mortgage and Agency Company, Messrs Dalgety and Co., and Messrs Bruce Christie and Co. —report on yesterday's sale as under-. There was a good attendance of farmers, butchers, and dealers. Sheep.—A fair entry. A pen of fat wethers sold at 245; a pen of store crossbred wethers (small) at 16s 7d; a line of three-quarterbred hoggets (small) at 15s 2d; a line of 250 crossbred full-mouth ewes, in lamb, were passed. Cattle.—About 90 head forward. Three fat steers sold at £6 19s 6d; 4 fat steers at £6; 4 fat steers (small) at £5 ss; a lino of 13 store steers (small) at £4 4s; a line of 10 2-year-old steers sold at £4," a pen of heifers, at £4 12s; a pen of yearlings, at £2 18s 6d. Calves sold at 36s to 40s. Dairy cows were enquired for, and 20 hoad were entered. Best sorts sold at £6 15s; medium sorts £4 10s to £5; inferior, £2 to £3. Pigs were enquired for, but none were forward. STOCK SALES. At the. Amberley market on Monday there was an entry of 1400 sheep and 30 head of cattle. Breeding ewes were in good demand. A line of six and eighttooth ewes in lamb to English Leicester rams made 23s 7d, two-tooth ewes 21s 9d, old ewes 15s 4d, light weight fatwethers 20s 7d, store lambs 14s 7d to 15s' lid, merino wethers 16s to 16s 2d. Yearling cattle £2 lis 6d.
