September 16. . ill' Joseph Henry Phillips, aged 60 years, an old Oumaru resident and lately Parliamentary messenger, who died on Friday night after a long and painful illness, in consequence of an injury incurred through, tripping whilst in the execution of bis duty, was buried here yesterday.
