OBITUARY.
(Ry EtKcnuo Telegraph—Copyright.) (per united press association.) Received September 22, at 9 p.m. London, September 22. The death is announced of the Right Hon. George Denman, aged 77. For 20 years he occupied a seat as a judge, and in 1892 retired, being subsequently appointed to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. Received September 23, at 1 a.m. Adelaide, September 22. There was a shocking occurrence in the Cabinet this morning. While the discussion on the Pastoral Bill was proceeding the Hon. P. P. Gillen, Commissioner of Crown Lands and Immigration, became suddenly ill and dropped doad. He was to have spoken to-night in moving the second reading" of the measure. Consequent on his death Parliament has adjourned for a week.
