Dunedin Markets.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited), report as follows for the week just ended: — Store Cattle.—The demand for these just at present is not by any means active, nevertheless all offering seem to meet with buyers who are, as a rule, prepared to purchase when sellers are disposed to quit at market values. Store Sheep.—A considerable amount of business is being done in these, but at most unsatisfactory prices, which, up to the present, do not show any improvement. Aged sorts are difficult to place except at boiling down prices, which most sellers are at present loth to accept; but, before very much more business is done such prices will have to be submitted to. Good sorts of young crossbred wethers and ewes have the most demand and are saleable at 6s to 7s, low conditioned 4s 6d to 5s 6d. Dairy Produce. —Best dairy-made salt butter, 5d to 6d ; medium, 3d to 3|d. Fac-tory-made, 9d to lOd. Factory-made cheese, medium size, 4Jd to 4fd ; loaf shape, 4§d to sd; dairy-made, 2d to 3d, per lb.
