TO-DAY'S PLAY. February 5 The mutch was continued in fine weather and there was a fair attendance. Mackenzie ami Searte, the not oats on Saturday, continued butting to the bowling vt Robertson and Labatt. Collins, the Canterbury wicket-keeper, was absent at tho commencement, and hi» ptace was token by Cuff, who missed stumping both men during the first few overs. Runs came steadily from the start, and with *sl on the board Palmer went on to bowl in place of Robertson, and the new trundler clean bowled Searte in hit* second over.— 62 t—l7.
