Dsspite their poor start the tail end of the Cambridge eleven played np well, and nearly doubled the soore before the last man was disposed of. The total was 189. The notloeable feature of tbe innings was that the whole of the batsmen were caught out, Trumble alone disposing of five in the sllpa. M'Gregor played a brilliant not out innings of 73, Woods made 20, and Sheatfield 34. Turner obtained 3 wlokets for 51, Ferris 4 for 68, and Tramble 3 for 45. The Australians, on going in, lost three wickets for 95, Murdooh being still in with 45. Lyons made 33. The wioket was Blow, but improved as the day went on. Received June 7, at 0.10 p.m. London, Jane 6. The Australians have lost six wlokets for 195—Murdoch 73, Turner 24, Dr Barrett (not out) 34.
