ENGLISH CRICKETERS IN AUSTRALIA.
(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. VERNON'S TEAM. (ROTTER'S TELEGRAMS;) Received December 29, at 1.35 a.m. Adelaide, December 29. The cricket matoh, Adelaide v. Vernon's eleven, was resumed to-day. The home team had nine wickets down for 489 runs, playing one man short. The Englishmen then commenced their second innings, and had put together 52 runs without the loss of a wicket, whan play was stopped owing to the visitors being unable to continue the match, they baring to leave for Melbourne in order to commence a match against a combined eleven of Australia on Saturday; The looal match was declareddrawn.
