Leicestershire County team at Leicester, was commenced to-day. The Australian. team went in first, and scored 142 runs. The Home team then -went in for their first innings, and when the stumps -were drawn, had five wickets down for 32 runs. The weather was fine throughout the : day, and the attendance of the- public at the match was large. The wicket was dead. The homeward Australian and New Zealand mails, via Brindisi, which left Melbourne on May 28, were delivered here this morning. Three per cent, consols are at 98§. The five per cent. New Zealand 10-40 loan is quoted at 105, and the four and a half per cent. New ■ Zea]and 1879 loan, 1904, at 1001.; New Zealand wheat, ex ship, is selling at 40s (1); Adelaide wheat, ex, warehouse, 49s ;. Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, 375.
