ACCIDENT AT PALMERSTON.

(feom oue own CORRESPONDENT.) • Palmerston, March 12. ■' An accident* fortunately unattended with any serious results, happened to one of the cabs returning from the raeecourse last evening. The cab was loaded with passengers, and, was entering the township as the special train was leaving for the eourse. The horses took took fright and ran the cab over an embankment, precipitating. cab, passengers, and: everything down a deep' gully. The cab turned completely over several times in its descent, a.n4 wa&, completely smashed, the passengers' being more' or less injured, but, I believe, none of them seriously.
