Tho goods train from the south, when near Otaio yesterday, went off the line, owing to the permanent xvay having been washed away by the Hood. Trains north and south only ran as far as Otaio, and passengers walked over the breach. The southern express was half an hour late last niL'ht. The breach will be repaired to-day, and the express will run light through. Tlie annual meeting of tlie Canterbury Weslevan District commenced yesterday. The Rev. A. Reid, Chairman, and a number of other ministers were present.
