Native chiefs commenced a meeting at Romata to-day to determine tlie course to be taken with regard to the murderers. The meeting will last two days. Pakaru is not supported, and is still at his own settlement. Mr. Sheehan is deter-, mined to throw the responsibility on the whole of the tribes of the district if the offenders are not arrested. The impression is that Pakaru will be given up.
