OPENING OF PARLIAMENT.

"Wet.t.ixetox, July 11. On the Legislative Council meeting today Sir William Fitzherbert took the chair. He, Major Richmond, Colonel Whitmore, and Sir F. Dillon Bell then read their commission, in the presence of both Houses. On the members of the House of liepresentatives returning to their Chamber, Sir George Grey proposed and Major Atkinson seconded Mr. O'Eorke as Speaker. The motion was unanimously agreed to.
