CANTERBURY COURSING CLUB'S MEETING.
Ciiristchurch, June IS. The Vice-President's meeting of the Caiiterbuiy Coursing Club commenced today in the North Park. The weather was favorable for the sport, but hares were scarce after the first hour. Only thirteen courses were got through. Maid ex Puppy Stakes, at L 3 3s each. First, LIS 15s; second, Lll ss; two dogs, L 3 los each.
Belle of the Isle beat Chandos Bob Ruadh beat Reflection Black Cloud beat Duchess Chary beat Alpha Flirt beat Cigarette Markham beat Ivate. 11. Rob Ruadh beat Belle of the Isle. Christcuurcii Stakes, for 12 dogs, at L 3 3s each. Winner, LIS 15s ; second, Lll ss; two dogs, L 3 15s each. i. St. Bees beat La Belle Sweep beat Surplice Honeymoon beat Bow Bells Streak of Light beat Jessica Banner beat Fair Emma Scanmag beat Spring The running will be resumed to-morrow morning.
