OTEPOPO ROAD BOARD.
The monthly meeting of this Board was held on Friday, the 20th insr.. at which there were present —Messrs. Anderson (Chair), Henderson (Treasurer), Falconer, A. Marshall, Darroeh, G. Marshall, and llnss. The minutes of the previous meeting wen; read and confirmed. The following correspondence was considered : From the Public Works Office, requiring certain additions to the memorial and declaration re the taking of land at Breakneck. It was ordered to be supplied. From Messrs. Clark, Burgess, and Ketchin, drawing attention to the bad state of the roads in the vicinity of the Punchbowl. Mr. Darrocli moved that the Engineer be instructed to have a bridge erected on the Kiliuog Creek, between sections 4 and 10, block VI. ; to prepare plans for the formation of road from sections 54 and 53, block VI., to sections 7 and 8, block V. ; and to report on the crossing of the crook betweon sections 40 and 50, block VI., giving estimate for both bridge and pitching..—Seconded by Mr. Henderson. The Engineer was instructed to report on the state of road between Davis' Ford and the gravelled portion. The Engineer reported on the probable cost of the formation of road between sections 20-21 and 23-24, block IV.—The matter was allowed to drop till next maofcing. Mr. Falconer moved that the offer of Mr. Jamieson as ranger- be accepted, provided lie reside, in the- district and devote three dwya a week to tho duties ; the engagement to be for six months, thereafter terminable by a month's notice on ] either aids. Seconded by Mr. Heudorson. Mr. Falconer moved that the Engineer report as to tiie prolvi'.tlu cost of claying the road between the Allday Bay creek bridge and thi> store. Twe, accounts were passed, for payment, and the Board adjourned.
