WRECK OF THE PELICAN.

As will be observed by our telegrams, the schooner Pelican, belonging to Mr. H.Aitken, of this town, has been wrecked at the month of the Manawatu river. .She was proceeding from Greymouth to Foxton with a cargo of coal. She was insured in the Standard Office for LSOO, the National Company of New Zealand for LSOO, and the National of South Australia for LSOO. It is, we understand, probable that the vessel will be got off.
