Fourton, leader of the Conservatives in the French Assembly, has challenged Gambetta to a duel. The Liberals have demanded an assemblage of Parliament before the Afghan war. Mr. Disraeli has refused to comply. Sydney, November 20. The strike continues. The seamen are endeavouring to stop colliers supplying the company. The latter are about to retaliate by closing the steam works in which 300 men are employed.
