OTEPOPO ROAD BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Otepopo Road Board was held on Friday last. Present— Messrs. Anderson (Chairman), Henderson [Treasurer), A, Marshall, Darroch, G. Marshall, Ross, Mitchell, and Davidson. On the motion of Mr. A. Marshall, seconded by Mr. Mitchell, the minutes of last meeting were adopted as read. A report from the Engineer recommended the erection of ten lineal yards of culvert at the junction of Chanomy and Fraserburgh streets, Herbert. Agreed to. Mr. George J. Cooper wrote, agreeing to have unfenced the strip of land at the bend in the Middle Ridge Road ; also stating that he did not wish to bind the Board to any particular site for the footbridge except that he -would like it as near the foot of Breakneck as possible. The Engineer was instructed to report on the matter at next meeting. On ""the motion of Mr. A. Marshall, seconded by Mr. Mitchell, "The Clerk was instructed to invite applications from persons competent to value the rateable properties in the district; applicants to state salary expected/' It was resolved "That the consideration money (L 35) be paid to Mr. A. Marshall on account of the land cut off by road deviation at sections 10 and 14, block VIII." Several accounts were passed for payment, which brought the meeting to a close.
