[from our own correspondent.] DUNEDIN. September 11. Four boys have been arrested by the police for a most brutal assault on a Chinaman at Kensington last night. They also robbed him of L 33. There was a large attendance at Messrs. M'Landress, Hepburn, and Co. 's rooms ; but there were no bids for the Crichton Park or other properties offered, which were passed in. The inquest on the body of the woman found in the Bay resulted in a verdict of " Committed suicide while insane." Messrs. Cargill, Gibbs, and Co. have received the following wool telegram, dated 9th September : —Sales continue flat. The attendance of Home and foreign buyers has decreased. Prices for scoured, particularly inferior and faulty, are on an average of a Id to lower than they were at the commencement of the present series. Crossbreds are neglected. Considerable quantities were withdrawn.
