Ministers promised to consider the matter. There has been a water famine in Sydney for two days. John Windyer has been committed for trial for the murder of Emma Gilbert, his paramour. The Queensland expedition for New Guinea leaves Brisbane next month, to prospect for gold. The Customs revenue for the half-year has increased by L 3902.
