NORTHERN AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the Committee of the above Association was held to-day in the Secretary's office. Present—Messrs. P. Orr (Chairman), Hedley, Ronayne, Jack, Little, Aikenhead, Meek, Falconer, and Steward. minutes, &c. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, and the outward and inward correspondence read and approved. TRIAL OF HE A PER AND BINDER. Messrs. Meek and Orr were appointed a Sub-Committee to arrange for the trial of the reaper and binder at Whitstone tomorrow at 2 p.m.; and to select three judges from the following list of gentlemen nominated :—Messrs. R. M'Auly, E. Menlove, A. Stewart, T. Rainforth, TC. S. Lees, W. Cruikshanks, and D. M'Gregor. ACCOUNTS. The accounts presented were passed for payment, subject, to the approval of the Finance Committee. NOTICE TO PRIZE-T \KERS. The Secretary was instructed to advertise in the local papers that prize-takers be asked to state whether they would take medals or cash. All notices to be sent in on or before the 30t,h inst. ; and failing to send notice, to be paid in cash. ACT TO INCORPORATE AGRICULTURAL SOCIETIES. On the motion of Mr. Falconer, seconded by Mr. Hedley, it was resolved that a sub-committee be appointed to consider the di-sirability of having the Association brought under the Act for making Agricultural Societies corporate bodies; the committee to consist of Messrs.
