The Presbyterian Assembly has resolved to petition, the Queen for the annexation of .New Guinea. November 24.
The action of the Ministry in placing the amount for payment of members upon the estimates has caused c nisiderable sensation in the political world. Tiie Council's rejection of the Apropriatioii Bill is looked upon as an accomplished fact.
