Ahout ten minutes afterwards he (witness) call d for drinks. He had wliisky. Henderson had ehuvt v t!ie other man had whisky, and the defendant had sometiling to drink. The liquors were s -rved hy defendant, and lie (witness) paid two single shillings for them. Tliere were ahont thirty people in the house, lie saw ahout three dozjn drinks served during the half-hour he was in the har. T;:e defendant said she had no question to ask the witues., ; she did not know the man. George Henderson gave evidence of a similar nature to that of the previous witness. This was the case for the prosecution. His Worship commented on the fact of the defendant having hecn so recently before the Court, and said it was evident that the offence must by put down by the pressure of the law. He should inll.ct a fine of L 35.
