DEPUTATION TO UARROUR BOARD. In compliance with a letter from the .Secretary of the Harbour 1' >ard, tne Mayor and Councillors Mainland, Gibbs, Booth, and Liddcll, were appointed to wait upon the Harbour Board in reference to the works at t'e lagoon. RAILWAY SIDING. L agreed to form the road to the Municipal quarry provided that the cost did not exceed L.'500, tli.it tin- Council undertook to maintain the road when made, and «0 arrange with the owners of land and with the Waiareka Road Hoard. —The letter was referred to the Public Works Committee and the Engineer, with power to take action in the matter. PIIAIN l'll'lX. Messrs. Austin and Kirk, of Cliristchuich, wrote with reference to supplying the Council witli stoneware drain p pes. WORKS IN O.YMAUU CUKKK. T!ie L gislativc Comiuittee was instructed to puruse p-irt XI. of the Municipal Corporations Ad, l'< 7(», witli a view to recommending the Council as to the advisability or otherwise of adopting that portion of the Act. The Council thru adjourned.
