Wellington, November 14. The whole of yesterday's sittings of the House was occupied in Committee on the Land Bill, chiefly over the Canterbury new clauses, which were ultimately passed as recommended by the Waste Lands Committee, Mr. Stout's proposal to reduce the extension of tenure from ten years to five years being lost on a division of 36 to 28. The schedules and appendixes were postponed to Friday. The House rose at 1.35 a.m.
