Wellington, October 29. In the House to-day, the Railway Management Committee report was postponed for 14 days. Mr. Sheehan read telegrams from Tawhiao, Te Wheoro, and Manuhiri. The telegram from Tawhiao says :—" Come to Te Kopua on November 8." Mr. Sheehan stated that this was the first direct communication from the Maori King since the war of 1863.
