There was a large number of people on the ground, inc.uding visitor not only from Oamaru and the surrounding districts, but from other Provincial districts! Everything has to far passed off satisfactorily, and the racing has been very good, especially for the Cup. The following are the results of the events run up to the present tim.3 : Duxtroox Produce Plate, of the value of 40 sovs ; weight for age ; distance, U mile. Entry, LI. Fetiell i led in the straight, but swerved and lost her chance, Ferryman winning by a length. Time : 2 min 41 sees. Waitaki County Plate, of 40 sovs; distance, H mile; weight for age. Kntry, L2. Waitaki Cup, a handicap of 150 sova, with a sweep of 2 sovs, the sweep to go to the second horse ; distance, 2 miles. Nomination, L2 2s; acceptance, L2 2s.
