DUNEDIN. October 2. In the Supreme Court a true bill was returned in George Pnmdfoot's case. This morning, the Jmlge discharged Newton, the lad charged with cutting and wounding another lad, on his own recognisance, (iately, for rapa at Otakaia, was sentenced to five years' imprisonment witli two whippings of 24 lashes each. Weir, for forgery, received 12 months' imptisonment; and Medlin, for housebreaking, 12 months. The High School petitioners will ask to he represented by counsel before the Commission.
