(agent general's telegram.) ♦ LATEST WAR NEWS. Bombay, September 14. Chief Inspector Clarke has been arrested for complicity in turf frauds. In the collision between the Avalanche and the American ship Forest Bui ward, 13 of the Forest's crew were drowned. It is reported that Sulieinan has crossed the Balkans. A Turkish official despatch says that Haffiz repulsed a violent attack by the Montenegrins.
DIRECT AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Sydney, September 19. A vote of want of confidence was moved immediately on the meeting of the Assembly last night. It will be debated to-night. A dissolution is probable. TvAhe Assembly to-night there will be a discussion on the attempt of the Government to proceed with business despite the hostile motion. The defeat of the Government is considered certain. Miar.or/RXE, September 10. It is stated that the ship Macduff ran down a fishing boat in the Channel, two days after leaving London. Cries were heard, Inn the vessel kept on her course, and it is not known what was the ultimate fate of the boat.
