Sydney, August 15. The mail steamer Normanby lias been stranded on the Queensland coast ; all hands saved.

Some Chinamen stuck up and robbed the camp at the Palmer River, and took L2OO. The orderly in charge had his head and feet lashed to a post ; a rope was put round his neck, and his head put in a bag ; he was nearly killed. Two Chinamen have been arrested.
