On and after June 1, Hails will Close — For Dunedin and intermediate offices, daily, at (J a.m. For Pukeuri and 'Waitaki, daily, at 9 a.m. For Vfaiir.ate, Timaru, Christchurch, and North Island, daily, at 9 a.m. and 2.45 p.m. For Papakaio and Duntroon, daily, at 2.45 p.m. For Awamoko, on Tuesday and Thursday at 2.45 p.m. For Maerewhenua, Upper Ferry, and Oamarama, on Tuesday, at 2.45 p.m. For Weston and Teaneraki, daily, at 2.30 p.m. For Dunedin and South, per p.s. Samson, on .Monday and Thursday, at 5 p.m. ; and per s.s. Waitaki, on Wednesday and Saturday, at 10 a.m. British and other mails, via San Francisco, will close at this "tli'je on Thursday, 31st inst., at 6 a.m. L' .;•> may be registered during- the ordinary office hoiT> . and for despatch by any mail, one hour before the closing' of such mail.
