SOUTH BRITISH INSURANCE COMPANY.
A special meeting of the South British shareholders will be held in July, to consider a proposal to increase the capital by 12,000 shares at 30 shillings premium ; to be offered to shareholders, one new for three present shares, making a total of shares 50,000; subscribed capital LIOO,OOO ; paid up capital, LIOO,OOO ; reserve fund, L 58,750; and to alter the rule preventing a dividend of more than 10 per cent, per annum. The premiums on the sale of the new issue to be added to the reserve fund.
