MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

THIS DAY. (Before T. W. Parker, Esq., R.M.) DRUNK AND DISORDERLY. Peter Mathison was charged with being drunk and disorderly in Thames-street, yesterday, and fined 75., with the alternative of seven days' imprisonment. STRAY CATTLE. For allowing cattle to wander at large, the following fines were imposed :—James Reid, one cow, 7s. 6.1. ; David Heron, one cow, os. ; Robert Keenan, one cow with tether rope, 10s.

GAMBLING IN A LODGING-HOUSE. Robert Keenan was charged, on the information of Sergeant O'Niell, with haviu<r, on the 27th April, unlawfully permitted gaming in his dwelling-house, wherein refreshments are consumed, contrary to section 19, of " The Town and Country Police Ordinance, 1862." Owing to the absence from town of Mr. O'Meagher, who had been engaged for the defence, an adjournment of the hearing of the case was asked for. Sergeant O'Neill said he had no objection to the case being adjourned, but asked that it should be heard to-morrow, as several of the witnesses wished to go to the country. His Worship adjourned the case until to-morrow morning.
